Privacy policy
Who we are
Praedium Copilot Limited ("Praedium", "we") operates praedium.co.nz. We are not a real estate agent and we do not hold deposit funds.
What we collect
Your email address and name when you sign in or register; listing details, photos and documents you upload; offers, counter offers and signed documents; identity-check results (Stripe Identity handles your ID documents — we receive only the result); payment status (Stripe handles card details — we never see them); and basic usage and security logs.
How we use it
To run the platform, verify sellers, process fees, send service emails, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations. Sellers can choose to give our staff time-limited access to offers; otherwise staff see only a seller's name, contact details, property information and status. For business reporting, our administrators also see the combined total of deposits paid across all sales, never the amount for an individual sale.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the platform: Stripe (payments and identity), Postmark (email), Anthropic (the seller-only AI coach receives the negotiation details a seller chooses to ask about) and our hosting and database providers. Offers are shared with the seller of the property they are made on. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
Listing details, photos, uploaded documents, offers, open home visitor details and notes are deleted 6 months after a sale is settled or a listing is closed. We treat a sale as settled 3 months after it is confirmed. Listings with no activity for 12 months are also removed. Once none of a seller's listings remain, their name and contact details are anonymised too.
Records of fees paid to Praedium are kept for 7 years, as New Zealand tax law requires.
Uploaded documents
Please do not include ID, bank details or other sensitive information in documents you upload.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you. Contact admin@praedium.co.nz.
